Woodland Family Overview

Attendance

If your child is absent/tardy, please call the Child Check Line at 610-831-5323 and give your child’s name, grade, teacher’s name, and a reason for the absence. You can also reach out to your child's teacher to let him/her know your child will be absent. More attendance information and policies can be found here.

Bus Transportation

You will soon be able to view your child’s transportation information on Power School. On Power School you will see your child’s bus number, pick up and drop off time, and bus stop location. All transportation questions should be directed to the Transportation Office at 610-489-5078. Click HERE for more information.

Car Line

Car rider drop off and pick up takes place in the rear of the building. Students will use the Gym doors. Morning car line drop off is at 8:55 a.m. and afternoon pick up is at 3:30 p.m. Please DO NOT arrive earlier than 3:30. Find the car loop procedures here.

Communication

Woodland uses SchoolMessenger for our weekly newsletters. Woodland's Home and School Association uses Konstella to share information. All families are automatically enrolled in School Messenger using their contact information in PowerSchool. We encourage you to sign up for Konstella as well in order to stay informed.

Lunch/Breakfast

Visit the Methacton website, or click here, for information on our breakfast and lunch programs. Free & Reduced lunch applications, payment methods, and menus can be found on the website. Aramark begins serving breakfast and lunch on the first day of school. Breakfast this year is free and will be served “grab and go” style so students can eat in their classroom. Our school lunch price is $2.95.

Medication

Nursing services are available during the school day. Please notify the nurse of any changes in your child’s medical condition, or of any immunizations/surgeries your child had over the summer. Medications sent to school are to be dropped off by the parent/guardian and delivered to the nurse at the beginning of the school day in an original, labeled container with a note from the doctor and parent with dispensing instructions.

School Hours

9:05 A.M. - 3:35 P.M.

Visiting the School

All doors are locked during the school day. Visitors enter through the front doors of the school and then scan their driver’s license/passport in the Lobby Guard kiosk for entry into the building. For security purposes, clearances are required for all volunteers helping at the school. Visit https://www.methacton.org/volunteer for more information.
