Woodland Elementary found a simple way to bring some extra energy into the school day—by keeping a fun secret.

During a recent “Underground Spirit Week,” staff members quietly dressed up each day according to a different theme, all without telling students ahead of time. The result was a week full of surprised smiles, double-takes, and plenty of laughter as students walked in each morning to see what their teachers and school staff had come up with next.

The themes kept everyone on their toes. Monday kicked things off with “Anything but a Water Bottle,” followed by “Target Tuesday,” where staff showed up in the retailer’s signature red and khaki. Wednesday brought some humor with “Socks with Sandals,” and Thursday added flair with “Ties & Tutu’s.” Friday showed school spirit with Philadelphia sports team gear, before wrapping up the following Monday with a full “Black Out.”
