On Tuesday, June 24, the Methacton School District welcomed local preschool educators to Eagleville Elementary for our "Building Strong Foundations Together" Preschool and Kindergarten Summit! It was a fantastic half-day of collaboration and shared learning.
Our team, led by Supervisor of Elementary Education Mrs. Tara Strouse, connected with community educators from Lower Providence Presbyterian Preschool, Play and Learn Collegeville, Providence Montessori School House, Saint Andrew’s Nursery School, and Trinity Lutheran Church. A number of Methacton Kindergarten teachers were also present, which contributed greatly to the conversation and collaboration with the community. The group discussed vital aspects of early learning, from child development and purposeful play to strategies for developing a strong foundation in reading and math. They also explored innovative ways to support emotional regulation, vocabulary development, and overall kindergarten readiness!
What a great day of connection, collaboration, and celebrating the important work of early childhood education!
