Woodland Honors Veterans at Special Assembly

Woodland Elementary School proudly hosted our annual Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th to honor our nation's heroes.

Our students outdid themselves, creating beautiful patriotic artwork that decorated the entire school! It was a privilege to have our entire student body and staff gather to pay tribute our veterans and welcome them as cherished special guests. Huge thanks to our speakers and guests for making the day so special: Keynote Speaker LPPD Sgt Matt Kuhnert (Marine Corps), Cpl Rob Heim (Marine Corps), Detective Sgt Mike Higgins and Officer Tom Foy.

A highlight was watching the Veterans visit classrooms and answer student questions—truly inspiring moments!
